Loss and a Heart Felt Thank You

On Tuesday, September 13, 2011, Stump's mother, Lois Farmer, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to use today's blog to send out a heart felt thank you to all of our family and friends who were there to support Stump in his loss.

Lois Marie Farmer
Lois Marie Farmer, 82 of 110 Mimosa St., Danville died September 13, 2011 at Piney Forest Health and Rehab after a decline in her health. Mrs. Farmer was born July 25, 1929 in Andrews NC to the late Edmund and Palice West. She was married to William Farmer, Jr. of the residence. Mrs. Farmer retired from Dan River Mills #4 spin in 1995.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter; Bonnie Marshall of Ringgold: two sons; Ronnie Farmer of Danville and Timothy Farmer of Blairs, VA: three sisters; Mary Shields of Andrews, NC, Salley Mayes of Kings Mt. NC and Doris Winebarger of Hickory, NC: three brothers; Earl West, Gerald West and Kenneth West all of Andrews NC: three grandchildren Jacob Marshall, Matthew Marshall and Rachel Yoder and one great-grandson Brittan Yoder.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday September 16, 2011 at Norris Funeral Services West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA with the Rev. Wayne Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA.
The Family will receive friends from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Thursday September 15, 2011 at Norris Funeral Services West End Chapel and other times at the residence 110 Mimosa St., Danville, VA.
The family wants to extend a special thank you to the Liberty Homecare, Hospice and Piney Forest Health and Rehab. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory, West End Chapel, Danville is serving the Farmer family. Online condolences may be made at
